ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
The National OBC Intellectual Forum (NOBCIF) The National OBC Intellectual Forum is structured to ensure democratic representation of diverse OBC communities and effective governance of its activities. The organizational architecture reflects the Forum's commitment to both internal democracy and operational efficiency.
Leadership Structure
At the apex is the Founder-President, Alla Rama Krishna, who provides overall vision, direction, and leadership to the organization. He is assisted by a National Executive Committee comprising senior members from different states and professional backgrounds, which meets periodically to review the Forum's activities and set priorities.
State-Level Units
The Forum has established state-level committees in Telangana and is working to expand to other states with significant OBC populations including Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Tamil Nadu. State units adapt the Forum's national agenda to local contexts, maintaining close contact with ground-level OBC communities while feeding insights and issues upward to the national body.
Functional Divisions
The Forum is organized into several functional divisions: a Research and Documentation Cell that conducts studies and compiles data; a Legal and Advocacy Cell that handles litigation support and policy submissions; an Education and Awareness Cell that organizes community programmes; a Women's Wing dedicated to the specific issues of OBC women; and a Youth Wing that engages students and young professionals from backward class communities.
Advisory Council
An Advisory Council comprising eminent academics, retired judges and bureaucrats, social scientists, and community leaders provides guidance to the Forum on technical, legal, and strategic matters. This body lends intellectual credibility to the Forum's positions and helps navigate complex policy landscapes.
