NATIONAL AND STATE-LEVEL COLLABORATIONS
The National OBC Intellectual Forum has built a network of collaborations with like-minded organizations, political parties, and government bodies at both state and national levels. This network multiplies the Forum's reach and impact, enabling coordinated action on issues of common concern.
Collaboration with BC Welfare Organizations
The Forum has worked closely with the Telangana Backward Classes Welfare Association and similar bodies in other states, participating in joint campaigns on political reservation, caste census, and educational rights. These collaborations have produced well-attended public events and joint representations to government authorities, lending weight to shared demands.
Engagement with Political Parties
While maintaining organizational independence, the Forum engages with political parties of all affiliations to advance OBC interests. It has met with leaders of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (now Bharat Rashtra Samithi), the Indian National Congress, the Bharatiya Janata Party, and regional parties to convey community demands. The Forum's approach is issue-based rather than partisan — supporting any political initiative that advances OBC interests while opposing policies that harm them.
Links with National OBC Bodies
At the national level, the Forum maintains connections with organizations like the National Backward Classes Welfare Association and participates in national-level conventions and seminars on OBC issues. These connections enable the Forum to bring a Telangana and South Indian perspective to national OBC discourse, which has historically been dominated by North Indian states.
Academic and Research Partnerships
The Forum has sought to build ties with academic institutions — universities, social science research centres, and policy think tanks — to produce high-quality research on OBC issues. These partnerships strengthen the Forum's analytical capacity and lend academic credibility to its advocacy positions.
